So currently working on some re-designs of characters. Lord Chaos right now, having a lot of fun with it.

Here is what I turned in for my Mid-term, a project proposal explaining exactly what I'm doing.

A) Thesis Statement
Exploring the superhuman myth through new aesthetic means, bringing the extraordinary into reality.

B) What are you doing?
My idea is to tell a superhuman story. The setting is a world where 1% of the population has unique abilities and has had them for over 100 years, a world where there are no heroes or villains, only police and criminals. The man cast consists of 13 criminals pulling a series of felonies with their endgame being world domination or destruction. The story will be presented through the eyes of the police trying to stop these criminals. I will stimulate the audience by making real life items to tell my story as well as having them actively participate in my project by solving the finale of the story.

C) Why are you doing this?
The superhuman myth as it is today is limited and ridiculed as a narrative mostly in the form of the simple comic book. I believe that without exploration into new aesthetic mediums and means that the myth will stagnate intellectually. The point is to explore the concept of the superhuman outside of comfortable settings and forum such as the graphic novel. A combination of illustrative, narrative, graphic design, and sculptural work all used to experiment with the myth.

D) How will you do this?
Each piece of the project will be relatively cheap in price to construct. As an illustrator and graphic designer I already have most of the supplies and programs I’ll be using. Utilizing the resources of the School of Art and Design as well as businesses within Ann Arbor the rest of the project will be realized relatively simply.

E) Where will this be presented?
The project is best presented within a gallery. I will also explore the businesses in Ann Arbor relating to the superhuman myth, comic book stores The Vault of Midnight and Get Your Game On, to present my work.

Just wanted to put this up to tell what I am doing and say why I am doing it.

After the break I'll have scans up for characters
